Many of you will know of Chris Smith as one of the UK’s best free riders but not many peaople are aware that he has some great street skills as well. I can remember seeing him ride a few years back and he could hold on to manuals for ages! Chris has ridden for some big bike manufacture names in past including GT, Curtis and Windwave/ Corsair.
Chris will be riding a selection of the new Identiti bikes including the very lovely P-66, the Mogul DH and the AKA. Other sponsers of Chris Smith include Ison Distribution, Halo, Gusset, ODI, MRP, TSG, Schwalbe, Genetic and Society.
Chris Smith did produce a short statement:
“I am really looking forward to riding for Identiti this season.
It’s great to ride for a British brand that has done so much for Mountain Biking in the UK.
From supporting the British Downhill series to sponsoring dirt jump comps early on from when I started riding.
The guys at Ison Distribution are really passionate about bikes and that’s what really matters.
The products that I am riding are all amazing and really well thought out.
I am really looking forward to help out designing and testing new bikes too.
This year I will be focussing mainly on media based material with monthly video’s ranging from “How-to’s” to full on riding video’s.
I also will be attending some select competitions too and working closely with the magazines.
For dirt, street and park duties I will be using the P66 Bike equipped with Society forks and a range of parts from my sponsors Gusset, Renthal, Halo, MRP, TSG, Schwalbe, Genetic and ODI.
New to my style of riding is the AKA which is an all-mountain hardtail and I am really looking forward to getting some great footage on this bike and testing it to the extreme.
When things get rough and big I will be riding My Identiti Mogul DH Bike which is amazing and due for release early next year after a few changes from the early prototypes.
It’s a great line up of bikes and can’t wait to get out there and ride them!”
Chris is a local rider to us and we wish him every success for the future with Identiti Bikes.
